Renovations

This huge home in Auckland was part of the nation wide leaky building problem. Dekker Construction undertook the extensive remedial works and re-clad, alongside specialised leaky building architects Prendos NZ.

We also constructed the new mid-floor deck and columns, and extensive renovations inside.

Full cladding and window removal was required to expose areas of mould and timber framing decay/water damaged materials.

Strict health and safety precautions were undertaken to prevent mould/spores from entering the existing home and also from entering the lungs.

All decayed timber removed was disposed of in an efficient and safe manner leaving the site in a safe working condition.

This house was re-located from central Whitianga to rural Kaimarama Rd.

It was re-designed, renovated and extended into a functional but beautiful family home, that also blended into the natural surrounding environment.
